In summary, we have developed a new type of pH imaging microscope and a new concept
of analytical method for evaluating solid sample was proposed. The application
field varied from food science and plant research to quality control of the papers
and video tapes. As a future development for this microscope, together with more
precise studies on pH imaging, we will plan to explore other applications of this
microscope so as to broaden its scope of use. In summary, we have developed a
