STEC Inc. (head office in Kyoto; president: Atsushi Horiba), a HORIBA group company and a manufacturer of mass flow measuring devices for semiconductor manufacturing equipment, has acquired the manufacturing license, dealership, and technical patents for all products, such as pressure-sensor-type fluid control equipment, of FuGasity Corporation (Nevada, USA), a US measuring equipment venture. STEC Inc. intends to develop next-generation devices by incorporating new technologies by the end of this year, and to sell them from next year.
