HORIBA's EMGA Series product line analyzes the quantities of oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen contained in steels and other metals. Our EMIA Series products require that the sample be placed in a ceramic pot; with the EMGA, the sample is held in a black lead pot, in an oxygen-free, helium-filled chamber. A current of 1000 amperes is applied to the pot, melting the sample at 3000°c(roughly half of the temperature of a sunspot), and the densities of the resultant CO, N2, H2 gases are the measured.
The EMGA series products are capable of measuring the Mass ppm and mass % order of samples of metals and ceramics.
HORIBA's EMGA series analyzers are used by most of the leading steel makers in Japan. Also HORIBA's reliable oxygen and nitrogen gas analyzers are used to analyze automobile exhaust gases.
